Thank
you for your interest in auditioning for New World Theatre!
New World Theatre is dedicated to collaborative pursuit of theatre
focusing on works that resonate globally as well as right here in
our own backyard.
Our hope and goal is to highlight our shared humanity in order to
learn and to affect understanding and change in our community.
We
are currently seeking actors and crew members for our summer season
that includes Hamlet 1603: The First Quarto (directed by
Cynthia Dillon) and a modern adaptation by Jeff Love called Priscilla
(directed by Robert Zick Jr.).
Hamlet—Five
Men and Two Women: to play multiple roles, must have command of
Shakespeare’s language.
Priscilla—Three Females: mid-to late 20s;
One Male: late 20s; Two Females: 50s; One Male: 50s.
Note: Seeking actors of all ethnicities. Also seeking staff—Designers
and Run Crew.
Auditions will be held by appointment only April 29 & 30. Callbacks
will be held May 1-3. Be prepared with two monologues: one verse,
one contemporary.
Productions to run in repertory throughout the month of July with
rehearsals in June.
